History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Shane was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
