He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When Roger reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Clerebold was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has never given up on his dancing dream.
