Nicholas Marley, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: A middle-aged man, he wears a black shirt, with a green mid length shorts with green tights and flats, usually wearing a coat over them, and is pretty ugly. His long silver hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. His fierce hazel eyes like to dwell on things.
Personality: Nicholas speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.
History: Nicholas was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. In his 18th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he is wracked by social anxiety

Simon Roscoe, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: He is in excellent shape and wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with wide-brimmed hat. With bright black hair and a scraggly beard. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.
Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.
History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he seems to be bored by most things

His shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for him due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. His auburn hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a top hat. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.
Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.
History: Born to a Apothecary, his father struggled to pay the bills. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
