History: Diggory was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Monk, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Monk in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Diggory abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature sickle.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Adventurer who has hired him part-time. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: He's in love; and wants his loneliness to end

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and a rival would like him out of the picture

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his religion dominates his actions
