Hugh Chester, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: This tall, slender man usually wears his black robe and has his shortbow always slung over his shoulder. His red hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. His brown eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.
Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.
History: The child of a Baker, who enjoyed hunting, Hugh was taken on many hunting expeditions. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Hugh took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up shortbow and armor he uses now. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personal [hide]
Description: He does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when he can avoid it. He is portly but not overly obese. His moppish red hair is in a traditional bowl cut. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.
Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Mason but believes his peers are too gung-ho.
History: Bertram was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Adept, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Adept in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Bertram abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive.
