History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
Motivation: To unite with his brother.

Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He wears well tailored suits and hats with beautiful decoration. He is almost always dressed for an outing in high society. With bright brown hair and a scraggly beard. His gray eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.
Personality: This man loves painting and to teach people painting more than just about anything. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.
History: He comes from a rich southern family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He's also a talented Armorer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Description: This fat northern man has a bulbous nose and wears a fine chain shirt which he covers with black colored cloaks and clothing. His skin is also unnaturally pale. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.
Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: He was born into a rich family. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature shield.
Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.
History: He was raised by priests from a young age. Through the years after Jocelyn was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Jocelyn's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Scribe they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Ruler, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. He works hard and plays hard.
History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
Motivation: Money/treasure; and to get a good night's sleep
