History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Heward was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When Heward reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He now owns his own business.

He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
