History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Roland grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. During his travels, Roland and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Roland discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves.
