History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Nicholas grew up listening to his mother's many stories. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was born into a rich family. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He comes from a rich western family. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered west to less war torn lands. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and doesn't want to be a navigator and was forced into it by his family
