History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. History: William was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He dropped out of school to support his sick father, and resented it. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Mercenary born in the past three hundred years. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He tends to his Mercenary job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Chad grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and to reunite with his old friends
