He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter.
