History: Rolf hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Rolf alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered

History: Born to a Navigator, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: Norman was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gifted student he started as a Weaver, but he got bored and became a Barber. He has achieved small success as a Barber.
