His boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. His hair, while still mostly auburn, has prominent grey streaks. He has gleaming, smiling gray eyes.

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His parents were killed by goblins in a raid when he was still a young child. The goblins captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Roland was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it

With bright silver hair and a scraggly beard. His violet eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: He hates goblins. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Carter arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and many goblins want him driven away

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. Gomory is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His first spouse was a Servant, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and wants to raise his children well

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Gilbert was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to prove his worth to the world
