History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and he is greedy

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Lance alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he desires power and/or immortality
