History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Shane was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Shane's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it
