Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: Dean lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Cook. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Simon was born the youngest of three triplets. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Soapmaker. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He has worked as a Bookbinder like his father before him.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother
