Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he wears dark leathers with embroidery. His wide-brimmed hat is riddled with cuts and holes. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: A child with a great deal of singing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has taken up work as a Sage and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Description: He is wearing a long, white cloak. He is physically well-built. With bright golden hair and a scraggly beard. His blue unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Hubert was born on a far western desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Unemployed. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

Description: He likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather, and carries bows. His hair is auburn and curly. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and to share knowledge with the world

Description: This slender man stands about 5'4". He wears a red shirt with thin brown vertical stripes and tan pants. His chestnut hair is long and unkept. His eyes are likewise gray.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by goblins in a raid when he was still a young child. The goblins captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Revenge.
