History: Heward hails from a village terrorized by orcs. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born to a Barrister, his father struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Stableman hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and he's in love

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
