History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and to get a good night's sleep

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. When Theodoric reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions.
