Description: He is an exceptionally muscular looking southern young adult. He wears blue robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a kukri, but if one is not available he will default to his scythe. Beneath his clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. His moppish chestnut hair is in a traditional bowl cut. He wears large thick round spectacles.
Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Conrad's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.
History: Conrad was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

Description: His right thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He sports blue clothing, slightly heavier than average wear. His red hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.
Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.
History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Description: He is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. He cuts an attractive figure and his suit of old armor is well cared for even if it is obsolete. His hair is long and chestnut with streaks of silver, and is pulled back with small tan clips. His beard is silver, braided, and well cared for. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep gray.
Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.
History: He got into the Merchant business at a young age. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has achieved small success as a Merchant.
Motivation: To be a Spice Merchant again.

Description: He is an average looking northern male in his early mid-life. He wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition. His hair is auburn, silky, and of moderate length. His gray eyes are passionate and lively.
Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.
History: Born in the north to a Stylist, Henry learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He struck the Stylist job and began his own company from there.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and wants to open a new tavern

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Layabout and was forced into it by his family; and to unite with his brother
