History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Adam alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has achieved small success as a Detective.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Through the years after Bernard was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Bernard's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
