History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Miles isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Miles lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and doesn't want to be a mortician and was forced into it by his family

Personality: Arnold is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He worked as a nervous Navigator and found it very stressful. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and balancing his hectic life and new navigator responsibilities is difficult

History: His psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Sage they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Miner, and he later adopted a second son.
