He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Marshal.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: Born to a Shoemaker, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 13 years.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: Born in the north to a Ruler, Thomas learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He has achieved small success as a Ruler.

Motivation: To be a Cartwright again; and his religion dominates his actions
