History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Everard was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

His father had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Richard was heart-stricken from the event, and his mother started working long hours to provde for them.
