History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He worked as a nervous Marshal and found it very stressful. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A freak accident while working with his Marshal mother left him crippled. During his travels, Charles and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Charles discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Charles fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
