Jocelyn Hayes, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: This light-skinned male wears rags and sports a simple walking cane. He is tall, broad shouldered and powerfully built. He has done his best to style his black hair to look like a famous performer. He wears a mask on his face.
Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.
History: Jocelyn was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Monk, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Monk in service of a powerful lord somewhere. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Jocelyn alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. During his travels, Jocelyn and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Jocelyn discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Jocelyn fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
