Bernard was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

History: Gerald was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Cartwright. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Cartwright for the past few years.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Through the years after Dustin was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Dustin's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
