Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is an amazing painter.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

He wears his golden hair up in a very large beehive style do. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and to prove his worth to the world

Description: A moderately attractive man, he is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times. He has a golden handlebar mustache and slicked back golden hair. He has violet eyes and a blue hat with a white feather.

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. The war was a terrible time for him, and Hunter does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He was granted martial powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he feels kind of lost in life

Description: He dresses well, wearing yellow shirts, loose pants, and blazers most of the time, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 6'3" when asserting himself. His brown hair is thinning but still full. His eyes are a pleasant gray.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
