History: Gilbert hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Gilbert alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

After coming to the age of reason, Thomas took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He was granted divine powers by his dying brother.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. A freak accident while working with his Roofer mother left him crippled. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
