History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His psionic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. Through the years after Roland was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Roland's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.
