Gunter was born on a far eastern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Bather. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. He uses divination through singing.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 10 years.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He is a great chef.

History: He got into the Beggar business at a young age. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He became a Bather soon after.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Description: 6'6" and muscular, this western man wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. His head has been shaved. His eyes are gray and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west.
