He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying sister.

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average man, he is not imposing. He wears a robe, a symbol of magic around his neck, and a scimitar on his belt. He wears a top hat to hide his balding. His eyes are likewise hazel. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Rolf's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He takes great joy in being the best Map Maker in town.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Map Maker. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Rolf fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
