History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gerard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Cartwright work with an outfit from a few towns over. Cartwright work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 5 years.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his mother. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and to be a unemployed again

Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a chocolate of some kind. He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty white coat over it, marred by chocolates. He has done his best to style his blonde hair to look like a famous performer. He has several tiny jet earrings on each ear.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. The war was a terrible time for him, and Charles does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He now mingles about in high society.
