History: Roland was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of gnolls may trigger it at times.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls; and he is unsatisfied with his job

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and his religion dominates his actions

Description: 5'2" and muscular, this eastern man is typically in his Fortune-teller uniform. His hair is chestnut, silky, and of moderate length. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Jocelyn was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Fortune-teller. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and further expansion of business

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and to unite with his brother
