Description: A middle-aged man, he wears bulky white painted plate armor, and is pretty ugly. His blonde hair is greasy and uncared for. He wears an eyepatch.
Personality: He is fixated on the number 71. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.
History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Navigator hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.
History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the east. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 14 years.
Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and he desires power and/or immortality

Description: He wears a simple green robe with tan stripes complete with hood, and he perpetually has his nunchaku ready. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.
Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He is an amazing painter.
History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Anselm fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

Description: This man is unhealthily muscled, almost every single one of his veins is visible when he is not flexing. His shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for him due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. He is bald on top and has large golden tufts of hair around his ears. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.
Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.
History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
Motivation: Wants to work out more often.
