Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He seeks to pay back kindness whenever he gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip he always seeks to do solids for his friends.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Nicholas grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by orcs in a raid when he was still a young child. The orcs captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. During his travels, Manfred and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Manfred discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Manfred fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
