Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Dustin never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
