History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Layabout. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Roland was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He now owns his own business.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the west. A gifted student he started as a Dyer, but he got bored and became a Tanner. He tends to his Tanner job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: He was born in the west. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
