History: Manfred lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and doesn't want to be a sellsword and was forced into it by his family

Description: A man with a calm yet intense air about him, he sports black clothing, slightly heavier than average wear. His golden hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep gray.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. Lance is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Lance was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. After a long history of fighting, Lance and his spouse have recently divorced.

Description: Standing 5'8", this man wears tan robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a rapier, but if one is not available he will default to his glaive. His hair is always cut to a buzz. His eyes are likewise gray.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. The war was a terrible time for him, and Bernard does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Bernard was born on a far northern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Assassin. He tends to his Assassin job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Cory was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

History: Thomas was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
