History: Cory lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When Cory reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs; and an old rival family wants him found

Personality: Balimaar is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. Balimaar is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: Wants a kiss; and wants his loneliness to end

Personality: Lance hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers
