Personality: Gerard wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Monk, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Gerard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
