History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. Conrad is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Through the years after Everard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Everard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and to be a slave trader again
