History: Hubert lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Hubert was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He has never given up on his painting dream.
