History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Roland grew up listening to his father's many stories. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: Godfrey was raised in a hard working conservative environment. At some point he was captured by gnolls and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has never given up on his painting dream.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A freak accident while working with his Miller father left him crippled. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
