History: Peter lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Ernest was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth.
