He then took over the family business and is one of the better Engraver for hire.

His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Roland is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Born in the south to a Apothecary, Roland learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When Roland reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. History: He was born in the east. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and to reunite with his absent mother
