After coming to the age of reason, Theodoric took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
