History: Ernest lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 4 years.
Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and wants to open a new tavern

Description: This man is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. He has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized ruby on his right hand. His brown hair, when down, is lengthy. His brown eyes are slightly larger than normal.
Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.
History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Miles was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Miles alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Miles was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the goblins.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it; and money/treasure

Description: He wears an amalgamation of clothes and depending on the season will wear more layers of the continuing hodge podge. He carries with him a set of falchions, each one with a sapphire on the hilt. He only wears one on his belt and the other on his back. His red hair is thinning but still full. His brown eyes peer out from beneath his deerstalker white hat.
Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.
History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Through the years after Nicholas was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Nicholas's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
Motivation: To end his boredom; and he is content

Description: A stocky darker skinned man, he is typically in his Ruler uniform. His moppish brown hair is in a traditional bowl cut. His gray eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.
Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He takes great pride in his work and is very well organized. His planner is full of calendar events.
History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Randal took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up sickle and armor he uses now. He struck the Ruler job and began his own company from there.
Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and doesn't want to be a ruler and was forced into it by his family
