History: Gerald hails from a village terrorized by brigands. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Gerald never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: Born in the north to a Mercenary, Cory learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Mercenary. He struck the Mercenary job and began his own company from there.
