History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. History: Hugh was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion

Description: A man with a friendly, welcoming air about him, he typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep black leather and dull blue iron scale mail. His hair is blonde and curly. His eyes are gray and catlike.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. The war was a terrible time for him, and Aldous does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Aldous was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Expert, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Expert in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Aldous was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it
